South Florida Food Tours serve enough food that for most participants, a meal afterwards is not necessary. With the combination of drink and food tastings, most participants are comfortably full after our food tours. Please understand our food tours are not intended to replace multiple meals.

Tours generally last approximately 2 1/2 hours. You can expect to walk less than a mile on most tours. We walk at a comfortable pace and sit to each at each tasting location.

Most tours are wheelchair and stroller accessible. The Lauderdale by the Sea tours tend to be the easiest / shortest walks so may be preferable. Please contact us with specific questions about accessibility.

Yes! Gratuities are standard for Tour Guides and greatly appreciated. The standard gratuity in the service industry is 15%-20%.

For our Private Tours, a 20%  Gratuity is recommended as these take more time, planning and coordinating than the daily tours.  Also, these tours tend to be in addition to the daily tours.

The ending point of our tours are a short walk from the starting point. However, your guide will normally be going back to the starting point and is happy to direct you back either way.

If you are bringing an infant / or a child that will not be participating in the tastings, you do not need to purchase a ticket for them. However, please do let us know if you will be attending with an infant or young child when you purchase tickets in the Notes section. Please purchase tickets for children who will be participating in the tour.

There will be at least one adult beverage included on all tours. 3 adult beverages are included on the “The Insider Experience”, which is a Lauderdale by the Sea dinner and drinks tour. Please check your selected tour description for details.

Yes- all adult guests must purchase a ticket whether they plan to partake in the food tastings or not. Each tour has a guest limit. Each spot is reserved for paying guests only. Non-paying individuals will not able to join the tour for any reason(s).

Each of the Pompano Beach tours start at The Sands Harbor Marina. The Lauderdale by the Sea tours start at Delacaseas.

Yes, Pompano Beach Food Tours Private Group Tours are available for all tours offered. To set up or learn more, please visit our Private Group Tours page and submit a Private Group Tour Request Form. A member of South Florida Food Tours staff will respond within 24 hours.

Any time is the best time for a food tour! However, if you are visiting from out of town, we recommend that you schedule your tour as early in your stay as possible. We are convinced you will want to return to your favorite food tasting locations.

A list of all the current tasting locations can be found on each tour listed.  Tasting locations can change without notice.

Currently, we only offer tours in English. We believe that food is the universal language!

Yes, bathrooms are available during the tour at selected food-tasting locations.

Our tours range from 2 to 2 and a half hours. Parents, who know their children best, should assess the situation individually. Since there is a lot of standing and walking, please consider this when deciding whether the tour is appropriate for your child.

South Florida Food Tours are perfect for both locals as well as those visiting the area.

We ask that you please wait to shop until after the tour so that we can stay on our food-tasting schedule. The tours are on a schedule to arrive at each tasting location so its important to stay on schedule so the food is freshly prepared for the participants.

Yes! We have a drink tasting included in the tour.  However, we encourage you to bring a water bottle along for the walk.

We advise to check the weather conditions for your days event and dress appropriately. Rain ponchos are normally available and provided by your guide.

Yes. Cameras are allowed on the tour. We strongly encourage participants to take photos during the tour.

Yes, for a tour in Pompano Beach we encourage you to use the City of Pompano Beach Oceanside Parking Lot, located on the east side of Riverside Drive, across from the Sands Harbor Marina for the both the Sunset Stroll and the Leisurely Lunch. For a tour in Lauderdale by the Sea, the “all day” parking that is available at the Sun Trust Bank located at 221 Commercial Blvd is recommended.

Tickets must be purchased in advance. To maximize your chances of getting the day and number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance. Tickets can only be purchased with a Visa, AMEX, or MasterCard from our website. Cash and/or walk-up traffic the day of the tours are not accepted.
